Back in Finland, after a couple of weeks spent in Italy.
My holidays were good and busy: I travelled a lot and met many people (Flavio for the first time!).
The day after my landing I was already travelling to Milan to watch the “Supercoppa Italiana”. It was a good match and AS Roma won; as you can see below, people were very happy after De Rossi scored:
Afterwards I stayed a couple of days with my relatives in Fermo, then one day in Rome and next I headed to Otranto in Puglia. Nice city and wonderful sea with very clean water: the only problem was the wind which blew all the time and made me think of Suomenlinna…
Otranto is a city full of history and the story of the 800 martyrs really touched
me. I wonder if nowadays it is easy to find someone who really believes in something to the point that he would die for it.
After a few days in Rome my vacation was over.

Tornato in Finlandia, dopo un paio di settimane in Italia.
Le mie vacanze sono state belle ed intense: ho viaggiato molto ed incontrato tante persone (Flavio per la prima volta).
Il giorno dopo il mio atterraggio stavo già viaggiando verso Milano per vedere la Supercoppa Italiana. E’ stata una bella partita e la Roma ha vinto; come si vede dal video tutti erano molto felici dopo il gol di De Rossi…
Dopo ho passato un paio di giorni coi miei parenti a Fermo, poi un giorno a Roma e successivamente mi sono diretto ad Otranto, in Puglia. Una bella città, un mare stupendo con acqua molto limpida: l’unico problema è stato il vento che ha soffiato sempre gagliardo non facendomi rimpiangere Suomenlinna…
Otranto è una città piena di storia e la vicenda degli 800 martiri idruntini mi ha colpito
molto. Mi chiedo se di questi tempi sia facile trovare qualcuno che crede davvero in qualcosa a tal punto da morire per essa.
Dopo gli ultimi giorni a Roma le mie vacanze sono terminate.
